Thought of the Day
As we close out 2017, we reflect on all for which we have to be grateful. I want to thank you for your continued trust, business and friendship.
I credit my mentors for teaching me life lessons as well as the many lessons in the world of financial planning. I am so very thankful for Linda Gadkowski, Walter Herlihy, and Michael Schreiber-- all whom took a chance on a 20 something year old gal who wanted to help family and friends.
All three of these mentors have helped me better understand what Dwight D. Eisenhower meant when he said, "The supreme quality for leadership is unquestionable integrity. Without it, no real success is possible."
My father is known to love his quotes and Linda can often be found stating one of her "Linda-isms" to help all of us at the office. With fondness, I share the following (from my father's desk) with you.
"Everything in moderation." -Socrates
"Think BIG and your deeds will grow, think small and you will fall behind.
Think that you can and you will. It's all in a state of mind." -Rudyard Kipling
"If diligence, persistence and commitment are lacking; Talent, ingenuity and knowledge are to no avail." -Peter Drucker
"The secret of success is consistency of purpose." -Desraeli
"No legacy is so rich as honesty." -Shakespeare
"Work hard, treat people right, and never ever give up." -Walter Snow
"Let coincidences happen." -James Redfield
"You show what you value by the decisions you make:
family, quality, service, integrity, and long term mutually beneficial relationships." -Walter Herlihy
"Most people are as happy as they make up their minds to be." -Abe Lincoln
"The key to getting over the top is this: help enough other people get what they want." -Zig Ziglar
"The key to investing...You try to be greedy when others are fearful,
and you try to be very fearful when others are greedy." -Warren Buffett
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined." -Henry David Thoreau
"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echo can be timeless." -Mother Theresa
I leave you with this....
"Doing business without advertising is like winking at someone in the dark.
You know what you're doing, but nobody else does." -Stewart Britt
That being said....If you are so inclined, we welcome you to share these thoughts with a friend or family member who may enjoy them. As you are aware, we have built this business 100% on referrals from valued clients and through sponsorship of non-profit events. Investing in the community in which we thrive is a wonderful blessing. Please know we could not do so without your continued trust and support. Thank you!
May you and yours have a wonderful 2018. Happy New Year!
